KARACHI: Four people, including three girls, died with three others injured, in a fatal road accident in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city on Thursday.
According to rescue sources, students of a private university, Rabia,, aged 20;KiranShezadi, aged 21; AmnaBatool, aged 23; and an unknown 30-year-old man, were killed and three others included were injured when a speedy passenger bus ploughed into people waiting at a bus stop.
According to eyewitness, the deceased and injured were waiting at a bus stop near Baitul-Mukarram Masjid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, when the mishap took place.
They said two passenger buses were trying to overtake one another and one of them went out of control, ploughing into to people waiting at bus stop and overturned.
The bodied and injured were sent to AbbasiShaheed Hospital. The driver of the bus fled. However, police were conducting raids to arrest him.
