RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Food Authority slapped Rs 54,000 fine on the cafeterias of three government Hospitals for having unhygienic atmosphere in their jurisdictions.
The Rawalpindi Food authority inspection team raided the cafeterias of Holy Family Hospital, Civil Hospital and Rawalpindi Medical new teaching Hospital and slapped fines of around Rs 54,000 for having poor hygienic conditions.
Meanwhile, the team also conducted raids and inspected the restaurants and shops located in Dhok Khabbam, Committee Chowk, Taxila HMC Road and Bismillah restaurant on Airport Road and fined Rs 50,000 for sub-standard food and for maintaing poor hygienic atmosphere around the vicinity.
Notices were issued to 15 restaurants for taking measures regarding improvement of hygienic conditions and provision other facilities.
