ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Robbery Wing of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) claimed to have arrested four members of a hardcore gang of robbers involved in dacoities in different areas of Islamabad.
The Federal Police SIU on a tip-off conducted search operations in different areas of Islamabad on Wednesday and arrested the four gangsters.
The police recovered three 23 bore pistols, 17 rounds of ammunition and a dagger from their possession. The arrested gangsters were identified as Mohammad Shoaib, hailing from Sheikhupura, Imran, hailing from Poonch, Hussnain Ahmed, hailing from Islamabad and Najeeb Ahmed, also hailing from Islamabad.
During the initial investigations, the gangsters confessed to robbing a house owned by Mehran Saeed in Islamabad at gunpoint.
The old records of the criminals were being gathered from relevant police stations. Moreover, separate teams have been set-up for arresting their accomplices.
