KARACHI: Ayyan Ali set off for Sri Lanka via a foreign airline’s flight EK-605.
The celebrity managed to bypass security and customs after her name was removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) by the interior ministry upon the instructions of the Supreme Court (SC).
The model was apprehended from Benazir International Airport on March14, 2015 after allegedly trying to smuggle US $5 lac and a case was registered against her.
She was granted bail in July, after spending four months in Adiala jail and attending 13 hearings.
Her name was included in the ECL after the shocking murder of a Customs officer named Ejaz Mehmood who was a part of the case investigation team.
