LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday denied reports that the Punjab government had any role regarding the release of US national Raymond Davis.
While speaking to media in Lahore, the CM clarified that the provincial government did not pay any ‘Diyat’ for the American.
He asked reporters to inquire the people mentioned in the Raymond Davis’s book about the episode.
Shahbaz Sharif claimed that democracy was on the right path.
The CM said the victims of Ahmedpur Sharkiya oil tanker tragedy are being provided the best treatment and suitable conditions for recovery, meanwhile adding that burn centres across Punjab are in working conditions.
