ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that the cases against PTI chairman Imran Khan are all nearing an end.
Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, Chaudhry said that the PTI chairman brought the money he earned to Pakistan after the sale of his London apartment.
“There is no comparison in the cases against Imran and Nawaz Sharif,” he said, pointing out that Nawaz is accused of corruption that exceeds in billions of rupees whereas Imran is accused of embezzlement of mere thousands of pounds.
He further said that Imran never held public office, while Nawaz did for decades.
Chaudhry went on to add that Imran has submitted all the required financial statements to the Supreme Court.
PTI leader criticised the lodging of cases against PTI chief, claiming that it was just a mere revenge plot after the ousting of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister in the Panama Papers case.
“Imran doesn’t have a single share in Niazi Services Limited,” he told the media.
