KARACHI: A three-member delegation of British Deputy High Commission Karachi led by Deputy head of Mission Steve Crossman Tuesday called on the Sindh Minister for Transport, Labour and Information Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and discussed matters of mutual interest, including investment opportunities, development and public welfare projects.
Transport Secretary Saeed Ahmed Awan, Labour Secretary Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Information Secretary Imran Atta Soomro, Syed Shabbier Ahmed Shah, Sindh Additional Advocate General,Syed Ali Shah, Sumera Naveed, senior trade manager Department of International Trade, Saif Asif Khan, senior economist and political adviser at DHC Karachi also attended the meeting. The minister briefed the mission about government efforts and steps taken for uplift of living standards in the province.
He said that situation of law and order in Karachi had been improved thanks to the joints efforts of the provincial government and law enforcement agencies.
Transport Secretary Saeed Ahmed Awan said that the Sindh government was introducing a modern and rapid transport system in the city.
Deputy Head of Mission Steve Crossman thanked the minister and appreciated the efforts taken by the government of Sindh in many fields for betterment and welfare of the people.
