ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani prorogued the Senate session ‘sine die’ on Friday due to the absence of ministers to respond to the business on agenda.
The chairman annoyed over not receiving replies of various questions raised by the senators, said that he would not be taking up any government agenda during the session.
Federal Education and Professional Training Minister Baligh ur Rehman apprised that he has briefed about the questions pertaining to the Finance Ministry and would answer the said questions.
The Chairman read the prorogation order signed by the President. The next session was summoned on October 23.
“The session is being prorogued due to irresponsible behavior of government no government business was taken up today”, observed Senate Chairman.
He observed that it is not the Parliament’s responsibility if a ministry doesn’t accept a question and transfers it towards another ministry.
