ISLAMABAD: NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said that NAB Lahore Regional Bureau was a very important Bureau and maintained it played a prominent role in contributing towards the overall performance of NAB. The Chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT), along with his team have conducted an annual inspection of all regional NAB’s Bureaus; Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Sukkar and of their performance of 2016 which stated from January 2017.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry visited NAB’s Lahore Regional Bureau to review its performance on the basis of an annual inspection conducted by the Chairman’s Inspection & Monitoring Team (CI&MT) at NAB Lahore Bureau here on Wednesday. NAB Chairman’s Inspection & Monitoring Team (CI&MT) was deputed to conduct an annual inspection of NAB Lahore Regional Bureau for the year 2015. The annual inspection was carried out from January 24-25, 2017 in order to review and evaluate the performance of NAB Lahore Bureau on the basis of newly introduced Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS).
Senior Member, Chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT) along with his team conducted the said annual inspection for the year 2015. He gave a detailed briefing to the NAB Chairman about the annual inspection done by (CI&MT) and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of NAB Lahore Regional Bureau.
He informed that on the directions of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, a Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS) had been devised in 2014. Under this Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS), the performance of all NAB’s Regional Bureaus is being conducted since 2014 in a uniform way.
The annual inspection of NAB Lahore was carried out from January 24-25, 2017. Today Chairman NAB directed Chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team gave a final presentation about the performance of NAB Lahore during 2016. NAB Chairman said NAB was committed to eradicate corruption across the board by adopting a Zero Tolerance Policy throughout the country. Corruption is the mother of all evils. Corruption undermines development and rule of law. Corruption not only causes delays in the early completion of development projects but also causes huge losses to the National Exchequer. Chairman Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT), in view of the assessed annual performance based on evaluation under Partly Quantified Grading System prepared by the Chairman Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT), graded NAB Lahore’s performance Outstanding/Excellent as 99.97 % Operational Efficiency Index (OEI).
