SUKKUR: National Assembly Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that the suicide attack at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan should be considered an international tragedy.
Talking to media in Sukkur on Sunday, Shah said that several elements want to destabilise Pakistan. The opposition leader said that implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorists is necessary as Pakistan cannot achieve peace without it.
Criticising the federal government, Shah asked that how can there be a foreign policy when there is no foreign minister.“The rulers need to think about the country’s destabilisation and isolation on a global scale.” Shah said.
He added, “There are many powers who do not want Pakistan to progress and become a stable country. They are making efforts to fulfil their agendas by bringing their favourite parties forward.” The leader added that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has sacrificed lives in the fight against terrorism.
