DADU: The shrine of Sufi saint Hazrat Saeedi Mosani was sealed due to security threats and a commando police force was deployed in the area surrounding the shrine on Sunday. The Shrine of Hazrat Saeedi Mosani is situated in the village Nao Goath some 80 kilometers away from the city of Dadu.
SSP Dadu, Shabbir Ahmed Sethar, said that the shrine of Saeedi Mosani was sealed due to security threats after the blast at Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz. According to the SSP, in dadu district three shrines including Ghagi Shah, Mist Khair Shah, and Shaheed Makdhoom Bilwal were areas on high alert where police had also been deployed. He asserted that he had increased the security of all shrines in the Dadu district.
After sealing the Shrine of Hazrat Saeedi Mosani, different devotees from various cities were gathered near the shrine, wanting to enter the courtyard of the shrine. One woman devotee of Hazrat Saeedi Moasni MST Rehema, told DailyTimes that she had returned from Sukkur to this shrine to complete her promise which she made during a visit to the shrine last year; she promised she would make a pilgrimage when her son receives a job. Yet she was prevented from completing this pilgrimage due to the sealing of the shrine..
Another devotee of Hazrat Saeedi Mosani, Mr Akmal Abbasi, was visiting from Karachi with his family to complete a promise which he made during a visit to the shrine in the last 10 years after wishing for a degree from London. He cried in front the shrine and expressed his anger – wishing he could break the lock on the shrine.
On that occasion, Minister for Aukaf,Syed Ghulam Shah Giilani, and Minister for Rural Development, Fayaz Ali Brut, also visited the Shrine and prayed there..
Talking to the media, Minister for Rural Development Mr Fayaz Ali Brut said that the incident at the shrine of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz has shocked him where orphan children were martyred and injured.
Fayaz Ali Brut said that he was not ready to take any kind of risk until clearance was given by officials to open the Shrine of Hazrat Saeedi Mosani for devotees. On that occasion, Abdul Shakoor Shar informed ministers that the area surrounding the shrine has been encroached upon by the local populace who have set up shops. The Ministers ordered authorities for the swift removal of the entrenchment surrounding the Shrine.
