ISLAMABAD: A massive reshuffle has been made in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), a notification issued on Tuesday said.
The notification was issued on the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan. According to the notification, Interpol Additional Director Yasin Farooq has been transferred to the FIA’s Academy while Deputy Director Rana Naveed has been transferred to the FIA Islamabad from the ACC Department. Similarly, Ejaz Ahmed Khan was transferred to the FIA Headquarters while Ahmed Ali Khan was transferred to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) Rawalpindi. It is worth-mentioning here that Dr Mazhar Kakakhel, a senior officer of Police Service of Pakistan performing duties in the FIA, was ordered to immediately report in the Establishment Division, but after about half-an-hour a new notification was issued in which Dr Mazhar Kakakhel was directed to keep performing duties on the same slot in the FIA. Sources disclosed that Dr Mazhar Kakakhel had been allegedly involved in arms smuggling case in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Interior Ministry had also received many complaints against him but his transfer orders were immediately cancelled.
