KARACHI: Karachi Anti-Corruption Court has adjourned the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’s (TDAP) corruption case hearing against former prime minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani till April 13 due to non-presence of his counsel Farooq Naik on Thursday.
TDAP’s corruption case against former PM Gillani came up for hearing before Anti-Corruption Court Karachi on Thursday.
Gillani, who is facing corruption charges worth millions of rupees, was present in the court.
Gilani has filed a petition seeking his acquittal from the corruption cases. He has taken the plea that all the cases are baseless. As many as 26 cases have been registered under one allegation.
He prayed the court to quash the cases which are false.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till April 13 due to non-presence of Farooq H Naik, counsel for Gillani.
