KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said here on Sunday that the person who offered him Rs 10 billion to withdraw from Panama case lives in Lahore.
Talking to media at Karachi airport, Khan said that the man was also offered Rs 2 billion in case of the successful deal. “The man is a Lahori linked with the party and the opposition.”Summon me in the court, where I will reveal his identity,” he said.
Imran said that Rs 10 billion was the initial offer which he rejected. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-(N) leaders and workers would quit Nawaz Sharif very next day if his government was toppled. Imran said that after Panama verdict Sharif had no moral justification to continue his office as the country’s premier. PTI chief said that he had promised to visit Karachi to join the people to demand their basic rights.
He said “Karachi was once known as the city of lights but now, it is littered with garbage and is facing water and electricity load-shedding issues.”Khan arrived in Karachi today morning to lead a rally against the issues being faced by the citizens.
It may be noted that the Punjab government has warned Imran Khan of legal action over his allegation of being offered Rs 10 billion to stay silent in the Panama case.
