ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated senior party leader from Karachi Imran Ismail as the next governor of Sindh.
The decision was formally announced after the approval of party chairman and prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan on Saturday.
Imran Ismail, the MPA-elect from PS-111, will have to leave his seat for the post of Sindh governor.

On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has nominated Murad Ali Shah as its candidate for the Sindh chief minister and Agha Siraj Durrani for the provincial assembly speaker.
Moreover, Rehana Leghari will be the PPP’s nominee for the deputy speaker position.
The Sindh Assembly’s inaugural session would be held on August 13.
