RAWALPINDI: The complete records of the pension cases of at least 22 teachers have been found missing in the District Accounts Office.
The teachers concerned were retired from different schools under the provincial Education Department. These retired teachers had submitted all their documents for obtaining pension in the Accounts office, while they had also signed the written receipts.
According to sources, the teachers came to receive their pension few days back and the administration not only refused to hand their cheques over to them but also said that their documents were not available, therefore, they should submit their documents first.
The retired teachers have voiced a strong protest against negligence of District Accounts Office saying that it would require two to three months more to prepare pension documents and this way the payment of pensions would be delayed for at least eight months.
