LAHORE: Justice Atir Mahmood of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday dismissed as not maintainable a petition seeking directives to the federal government to provide free tickets to the people to watch Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore.
Advocate Abdullah Malik had moved the petition. Counsel for Petitioner Muhammad Siddique said that he had received many calls from Lahoris that tickets for the PSL final match were out of reach of the ordinary citizens and no attempt was being made to take control of black marketers.
He alleged that some of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the PSL officials were making hell of money from sale of tickets in black market.
He requested the court to direct the PCB, federal and the provincial government to make arrangements for supply of tickets to the general public free of cost by stopping black marketing of tickets.
