PESHAWAR: The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Monday foiled a terror attempt by defusing a 15 kilogramme bomb in Karkhano Market area of Peshawar.
Hayatabad police said that unknown miscreants had planted a 15 kg bomb in a pushcart in Karkhano Market. Upon receiving a report about a battery lying unattended on a pushcart, police rushed to the area and informed BDS.
The BDS successfully defused the bomb and avoided a major catastrophe. Police officials said that the bomb was remote-controlled. A case has been registered against unknown miscreants.
