ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Parliamentary Secretary Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha said that the military courts had played a vital role to eliminate terrorism and militants from the country.
He said that the decision to establish the courts was taken with consensus of all political parties after the tragic incident of Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar. Talking to a private by Ads” href=”#32730946″> TV channel, he said that in the democratic process, the establishment of such courts was so difficult, but the APS incident left no other option.
Answering a question, the parliamentarian said that some opposition parties were wasting the institutions’ time, adding that they were creating hurdles in the government’s work towards prosperity. The secretary said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) loved to ‘score points’ and the best way that have is to blaming the government.
“PTI played a negative role and boycotted the parliament to avoid discussing important issues,” Mohsin Ranjha said. He added that the opposition should play an effective role and support the government for the development of the nation.
