PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Traffic Police initiated the Anti-Corruption drive on Saturday to help in making KP a free corruption province.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Sadiq Hussain, the drive aimed to disseminate and spread information about Corruption.
He was addressing a function regarding the World Anti-Corruption Day celebrated across the country as well in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The main purpose of the drive is to create awareness among people regarding corruption, he added.
He further said that corruption is a menace and it affected the institutions and the society. “We should all stand together against corruption to create free corruption environment in the province”, he maintained.
The SSP Traffic said its moral obligation of every institution to stop corruption and take practical steps on ground so that people came to know about positive development after change in the provincial government of KP.
The Police officer further said the orders were distributed to all the traffic police officers for distribution of Anticorruption templates to stop the efforts of corruptions been made by people who try to influence the police officials in certain cases.
On a quarry SSP Sadiq Hussain informed Daily Times that constructive steps have been taken by the provincial police department to enhance and achieve an efficient Corruption Free Police system in KP.
