PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that delay in issuance of computerised national identity cards (CNIC) to the people of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is intolerable and under the pretext of fake ID Cards genuine Pakistani citizens should not face inconvenience.
He was talking to Peshawar’s DG NADRA, Gohar Ahmed Khan, who called on him at Governor House on Thursday. Principal Secretary to Governor, Sikandar Qayyum was also present on the occasion.
DG NADRA briefed the governor regarding issuing procedures of CNIC and assured him of corrective measures.It is worth mentioning that the governor has taken serious notice of the complaints regarding non-issuance of CNIC and also contacted the Interior Ministry to redress the grievances of masses.
Meanwhile, Chairman Governor Inspection Team, Muhammad Mushtaq Jadoon had a farewell call on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra at Governor House on Thursday. The KP governor appreciated his services as head of the team and wished him success in his future endeavours.
