ISLAMABAD: Retired Pakistan Army lieutenant colonel Abdul Jabbar Bhatti got the honour of becoming the fourth Pakistan national to successfully climb on top of the Mount Everest.
Reports state that it took the ex-army officer about 90 days to complete this feat.
Bhatti who had previously won Tamgha-e-Basalat and Pride of Performance awards, he paid for the trip with the assistance of a donor and it is estimated that the trip cost an estimated Rs 5 million.
He has previously climbed Peak, Gasherbrum 2 Peak and Spantik Peak.
Pakistani mountaineers Hassan Sadpara, Samina Baig and Nazir Sabir are some of the few mountaineers who have successfully conquered Mt Everest.
