LAHORE: Young Doctors Association (YDA) continue series of strikes across Punjab on Monday, as the doctors refuse to execute their assigned duties until demands are met.
According to details, the strike that has been going on for seven days, has caused all sorts of problems to patients and their families, with a lack of medical services available for those in need.
Senior doctors have been called upon to replace those protesting in Lahore’s Jinnah and Services hospital.
Young doctors earlier stated that the strike will be sustained until their demands are fulfilled by the administration, while the management has ordered severe action to be taken against the troublemakers.
Punjab Health Department has suspended over 60 doctors pertaining continous strikes and has initiated the process to new hiring.
YDA are expected to hold a press conference on Monday to put forward their demands and establish their rhetoric.
