LAHORE: Young Doctors Association (YDA) concluded its 15-day long strike after talks with authorities proved successful on Tuesday.
The protest, which started on August 1, came to an end after Punjab government agreed to demands of reviewing the Central Induction Policy (CIP) which discriminates between practitioners from government and private backgrounds, also accepting to reinstate suspended doctors and increase salaries.
During past 15 days, the provincial health department had suspended 76 protesting doctors for failing to fulfill their duties and had deducted salaries of eleven doctors.
The protesting doctors have announced to return to outdoor patient departments (OPDs) from today.
