An injured soldier admitted to the Combined Military Hospital in Peshawar succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, the soldier, Waqas, had gotten injured in an attack on a border post in Khyber Agency by militants.
The soldier’s funeral prayers were offered at the Peshawar Corps Headquarters.
The statement said that terrorists were resorting to firing from across the border, taking advantage of weak control over the porous border with Afghanistan. The statement added that there is a requirement to check the movement of terrorists on the Afghan side of the border.
