ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday that the development of backward areas is of utmost importance to the current government.
Addressing a ceremony in Chakri he said that the government was putting in all efforts to repay the people who had instilled confidence in the current government.
Since the British left the subcontinent, Chakri and other adjoining areas had no roads and bridges, however today the area had 11 bridges and well developed road infrastructure.
During the last three years electricity, water supply schemes, road networks and health and medical facilities in the area had been ensured, said the minister.
He pointed that the foundation of development was only laid by leaders who actually cared for the masses.
