HYDERABAD: While condemning the terror attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and expressing their sympathies with the injured and families of the deceased, the Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) Secretary General, Comrade Imdad Qazi, warned the institutions of the country that such attacks would continue to take place in the days to come if the basic policies of the country were not changed.
He also fixed the total responsibility of the Sehwan carnage, following the powerful bomb blast, on provincial and federal governments. He said this while presiding over a meeting of CPP’s political bureau.
He stressed that the government must evolve all comprehensive strategies immediately to nip terrorism in the bud and eradicate the root of terrorism, while religious parties should not be patronized in this regard.
He pleaded for forming policies in the larger interest of the country and said that the state should not play the role of agents of the US, China, Russia or any other country.
He believed that the rulers of the country proved that they were incompetent since people have lost their lives in the current ongoing wave of terrorism in Sehwan, Lahore, Peshawar and other parts of the country. Instead of squandering time on spying on political and human rights leaders and activists, spy agencies of the country must be reorganized to disband terrorist groups and dismantle their safe havens.
“Until the country gets rid of the policies of 80s completely, countrymen will keep losing their lives,” he said and added that at that time all western countries under the leadership of USA’s imperialism with the help of Saudia Arabia and the Arab kings were organizing “a cobra of religious terrorism” in the region.
