ISLAMABAD: Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi said on Thursday that Pakistan’s battle against terrorism has now entered its most intense phase.
Speaking at a meeting in New York, she stressed the need to address the root causes of terrorism. She said terrorism cannot be delinked from its political context and Pakistan has always advocated that protracted unresolved conflicts, un-lawful use of force, aggression, foreign occupation, denial of the right to self-determination and political and economic injustice contribute to spread of terrorism.
