KARACHI: Madadgaar Helpline and Lawyers for Human Rights and Legal Aid President Zia Ahmed Awan, on the eve of International Women’s Day, urged the government to prevent violence against women.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that so far their helpline, Madadgaar, has assisted 8,897 distressed women and children.
He asked that we should work responsibility to ensure that women and girls receive due respect and protection in all walks of life.
