KARACHI: The government of Sindh has requested the federal government to withdraw AD Khawaja as Sindh Inspector General due to his differences with close aides of former president Asif Zardari besides sending three names for the appointment of new IG Sindh among them.
The Sindh government made a request to the federal government on Saturday for the replacement of the provinces IG and recommended the names of Sardar Abdul Majeed, Ghulam Qadir Thebo and Khadim Hussain Bhatti for induction as new Sindh IG.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali had already sent IG Sindh AD Khawaja on 15 days leave and now the matter has escalated.
However, Sindh CM’s spokesperson refuted reports of sending any requests to the federation.
